Orange, Carrot and Turmeric Immune-Boosting Juice
This elevated OJ with carrot & turmeric root juice is a super simple way to start your day and feel good from the INSIDE OUT! Orange juice is packed with antioxidants and phytonutrients and fulfills the daily vitamin C requirement for an average adult. Carrot with it’s cancer-fighting beta carotene and turmeric root with the anti-inflammatory properties, is a great drink in any season esp. winters for the extra immune boost. Don’t forget to add pinch of black pepper powder in the end to help with the curcumin absorption.
Makes 2 8oz glass of juice
YOU WILL NEED
2 navel oranges (525 g)
1 medium carrot (100 g)
2 inch thick knob of fresh turmeric
pinch of black pepper powder
METHOD
Wash and peel the oranges, carrot and turmeric.
Run them through the juicer and add a pinch of black pepper.
If you don’t have a juicer, blend the ingredients until smooth and strain it through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
